Winter Descent down the Green, Postcard
This postcard print of my original watercolor explores the grandeur of southern Utah through a quiet moment of paddling beneath towering sandstone cliffs. The minimal scale of the kayakers in the the composition emphasizes the immense geological landscape and humanity's small place within it. Transparent watercolor washes capture the canyon's layered rock formations, while shimmering reflections transform the river into an abstract study of light and color. The balanced composition and a restrained palette evoke the stillness, solitude, and timeless beauty of the desert, inviting viewers to pause and experience the landscape with quiet contemplation.
Bring the beauty of the desert home with this watercolor postcard print featuring two kayakers beneath towering red-rock canyon walls. Warm reflections shimmer across the water while a brilliant blue sky highlights the dramatic sandstone landscape. Perfect for lovers of kayaking, outdoor adventure, Southwest landscapes, and colorful travel art.
