Meghin & Kasey, 2025
This original watercolor painting is 8x10 inches with a one inch border surrounding the image on paper.
This painting was a anniversary gift for my step daughter Meghin. The image was taken from a photograph that she had given me for reference.
The subjects both engage the viewer with their gaze and illicit happiness in their relationship. The colors used are muted, giving the painting a sense of the atmosphere of a warm summer evening. The brush strokes are unencumbered and spontaneous. The backgrounds simplicity highlights the specificity of the subjects and bringing them to the forefront of the composition.
