Teton Climbers Ranch, 2022

This is a Giclee Print from a scene I captured during a climbing trip to Grand Teton National Park in late July 2022. The Climber Ranch offers beautiful vistas of the Grand Tetons in the distance. Operated by the American Alpine Club, the ranch provides affordable lodging for climbers from around the world while they challenge themselves on world-class routes throughout the park.

This Giclee print captures a painting created quickly on site, and that spontaneity is evident in the brushwork and black pen lines. The watercolor's use of atmospheric perspective and a muted palette creates depth and a sense of tranquility. The warm tones of the cabin contrast nicely with the cool, receding mountains, establishing a strong focal point within the composition.
