Maurice, graphite, 2024 (Commissioned)

This was a commission for a friend of mine in the Netherlands. He posed for the reference making a variety of facial expressions. In deciding on the image to use, I chose the picture that best represents his personality. I give you Maurice!!

This pencil drawing is simple in its approach with raw graphite strokes forming the shadows and texture of the subjects face.
