Potash Road under a new moon, 2025

This landscape was painted along Potash Road, nothwest of Moab Utah. This area is a popular place with climbers who enjoy the vertical walls, late afternoon shade and spectaculr views of the Colorado river.

The painting is in watercolor and features soft tones of color reflecting a early evening in summer. The horizontal features set in a vertical composition helps balance the peice. The thin swath of vegetation is heavy and anchors the airy feel of the sky and the reflective water.
